WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? A mountain cattle ranch, a wide-open vista, a historic mountain hotel, an old-time bar where Doc Holliday might have had a shot of whiskey--Gary Hubbell can find it.

TIME IN THE SADDLE Gary Hubbell is a wilderness guide, a freelance writer and photographer, a horseman and rancher, and a lifelong resident of western Colorado. He has ridden the high passes between Aspen and Crested Butte, the canyons of Utah and western Colorado, and the high valleys of the Western Slope. Gary is a wilderness guide and horseman, and is intimately familiar with Colorado locations.

FLYFISHING, SKIING, SNOWBOARDING, OUTDOOR SPORTS A flyfishing guide since 1986, Gary Hubbell knows the rivers and lakes of Colorado, and is recognized as one of the top fly-fishing guides in the state. His book, "Shadowcasting: An Introduction to the Art of Flyfishing", was honored with a 2000 Colorado Book Award. Co-author John Dietsch was the Flyfishing Production Coordinator on the filming of "A River Runs Through It." As a freelance photographer, Gary has taken thousands of pictures of skiers and snowboarders. "Catching Air", a snowboarding book that Gary co-authored with famed snowboarding photographer Rob Gracie, was published by Sports Illustrated for Kids and sold 250,000 copies. Gary knows Aspen, Telluride, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Snowmass, and other well-known Colorado ski areas, as well as many off-the-beaten-track areas where backcountry skiing and riding is outstanding. Gary knows ice climbing, extreme kayaking, big game hunting, rock climbing, and mountain biking locations in Colorado.

RANCHERS, FARMERS, AND LANDOWNERS If you're going to find unusual and different locations, you need a solid local contact, a guy who wears a sweat-stained cowboy hat and a pair of worn-out boots. Don't come in with your black leather jackets and beeping Blackberries to search out locations in Colorado. It takes an old pickup, a big smile, and a friendly dog to get the job done. That's Gary Hubbell. Gary has spent a lifetime building relationships with ranchers, farmers, landowners, innkeepers, fly-fishing guides, horse trainers, and cowboys. While your out-of-town location scout won't have a prayer of making contact, Gary Hubbell might make one phone call to line up the perfect location for your shoot.
